The first post is in the works. AI in HR, payroll ops, or whatever is top of mind. Worth the wait.
AI, HR, the future, and whatever else is on my mind.
This is not a corporate blog. No SEO fluff, no thought-leadership theater. Just what's worth writing down — from a 25-year payroll and HR operator who is deep in the AI weeds and still figuring things out in public.
I write here when something is worth writing down. A lot of it is AI-forward — what I'm building, what I'm learning, what I think is coming. Some of it is random. None of it is corporate.
Three placeholders. Real posts are coming. None of them will be corporate.

Twenty-five years of payroll and HR means a lot of opinions. Some of them are actually useful. This will be one of those.
Building AI agents while running a 25-person company teaches you things no luncheon about AI ever will. More on that shortly.
Posts will live at /writing/[post-slug] when published. Check back, or follow The Local Dispatch in the meantime.
What I write when it's not here. Three places you'll find more of my thinking — each one a little different.
Small-town newspaper style. Big ideas. My Substack — where I write longer-form pieces on AI, HR, and whatever else is worth saying.
The official Axiom blog. Practical takes on payroll, HR technology, and UKG Ready — written for people who actually run these systems.
The Reddit community for The Local Dispatch. Payroll, HR, AI in the workplace, and the occasional tangent. Pull up a chair.
Payroll, HR, AI, or where all three are headed — I'm in.
I'm not hard to find. LinkedIn most days. Email works too. If you've got a question about something I wrote, or just want to compare notes on what AI is actually doing to the HR industry — reach out. No pitch. No funnel. Just a conversation.
